Published Originals & Adaptations

The Hero Squad Trilogy

The Hero Squad vs. The Princess Snatchers

The Hero Squad vs. The Supervillain's Apprentice

The Hero Squad vs. The World's Angriest Cow

Three superhero action-comedies following Metro Valley, Iowa's famous Hero Squad. The first two plays have been published and are available through Eldridge Plays and Musicals (histage.com). Each has a cast of 7-10 with possibilities for extras and runs just over an hour. Kids LOVE them.

Secret Identity: An adventure in peer pressure

Spun out of the adventures of the Hero Squad, this 45-minute play follows unconventional superheroine Princess Mystic Starfish on her quest to find acceptance from the International Union of Superheroes, Amazing Persons, and Otherwise Outstanding Citizens (IUSAPOOC for short). Originally written to tour into schools, this play features a cast of 4-6 and is available through Eldridge Plays and Musicals (histage.com).

The Snow Queen

Cast of 6-20+, approx 60 minutes

Pinocchio and his Father

This flexible piece can feature a cast of anywhere from 5-17 + actors and is largely gender-neutral. Includes many elements from Collodi's classic that you may have forgotten (the fairy's death bunny friends are always a favorite)! Runs about 70 minutes, available from Brooklyn Publishers (brookpub.com).

Unpublished Adaptations

The following scripts I still own the rights to. Contact me directly with questions. My goal with every adaptation is to remain as close to the source material as possible, in heart if not necessarily in substance.

The Velveteen Rabbit

Cast of 6-11, approx 60 minutes

The Jungle Book

Cast of 8-15+, approx 65 minutes

Thumbelina (musical, music by Braden Hunt)

Cast of 6-13+, approx 75 minutes

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz

Cast of 5-20+, approx 60 minutes
